What
are the target groups for CPS's Citizenship Program?
The
Citizenship Program generally targets community based
groups primarily serving homeless, disabled and the
underpriviledged. Additionally, CPS Citizenship Program
offers two $2,000 annual scholarship awards to selected
financially disadvantaged students displaying scholastic
achievement coupled with extensive non-scholastic achievements. |
How
does the program work?
Groups
or individuals can apply to the CPS Citizenship Program
on-line (click on Apply Now). Applications will be reviewed
during the last 10 day period of each calendar quarter
(March 20 to 31, June 20 to 30, etc.). Applicants will
be notified of the decisions by the 30th of each quarter
they applied in. The responses will be A) they have
been selected for an award B) their application has
been carried forward for consideration in the next quarter
or C) their application has been declined. |
How
much money is available through the CPS Citizenship
Program? The
Program awards up to $5,000 per calendar quarter. The
typical award is $2,000 for groups and $1,000 for individuals.
Amount of awards are at the sole discretion of the granting
committee. |
